Zeze Di Camargo & Luciano is a Brazilian duo formed by brothers Mirosmar José de Camargo (whose stage name is Zeze Di Camargo) and Welson David Camargo (known as Luciano), natural of Pirenópolis, Goiás.
The duo has an average of 130 shows a year, over a million copies per CD release, participation in advertising and licensing campaigns in various brands.
Before topple one hit after another singing with his brother Luciano, Zeze Di Camargo knew the taste of the success of your songs all over the country. He composed mainly for famous friends as Chitãozinho and Xororó, Leandro and Leonardo. His lyrics, with very few exceptions, speak of love and their pain, a theme that he considers universal, with which all identify.
It was on April 19, 1991 when Zeze Di Camargo & Luciano released their first album. In two months, "It is Love" got its interpreters to first place in the hit parade. In six months the debut CD of the singers earned double platinum for 750,000 copies. In just over one year reached one million copies.
Thereafter, Zeze Di Camargo and Luciano never stopped. All albums are synonymous of success and each release reaches the mark of one million copies. In 2003, the duo was honored with two very important awards: the Brazilian Academy of Letters (as best duo) and the Latin Grammy for best country music album. The pair has recorded successes with major international artists such as [Wille Nelson] (I only think of you, 1993) and [Julio Iglesias] (“Two Friends” that Zeze Di Camargo wrote) in 1998.
In 2005, the story of duo’s life and career was told in the movie “2 Sons of Francisco”. The film got records in Brazil, attended by over 5.3 million people.
On 19 September, the first time Zeze Di Camargo & Luciano will make a great spectacle in Canada in another international tour, including shows in the United States. It will be at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga at 8:00 pm.
